How far would you drive to an auto-repair shop?...............
3 & 1/2 hours! A note we recently recieved:
* Moshe, I used to live in Silver Spring and moved down to Norfolk in 2001. You took care of my 1991 Volvo 740. It's soon time for the 150K service. I would like to bring it up there. I could drop it off one weekend and pick it up the next weekend.

*Moshe's a superb mechanic, totally honest, has worked on all our cars.
*Highly recommend Moshes. You could not find a more honest and decent person. he is also by far the best mechanic we have ever taken our cars to and we had some old cars that he kept running long past their time.
* I first went to Moshe when the Lexus dealer recommended more than $4000 in repairs. Moshe was shocked at the dealers estimate, checked the car and made the necessary repairs for 60% less. That was one year ago and the car is fine and I still go back to him today. He is honest and takes the time to talk with you about everything he recommends and then discusses the repairs when you pick up the car. The last time he showed me the air filter, which was disgusting and he questioned whether the dealer ever changed it, even after 90,000 miles. Car repair can be an intimidating experience but I cannot recommend Moshe more highly. There's no pressure nor condescending attitude. I will now take my other car to Moshe as well.
*Just a quick word to say we had a good experience with Moshe, who saved me money and unneeded work the dealer recommended on a brake job.

*I brought my Volvo to Moshes and he was very helpful with my situation-if I had listened to the dealer, I would now be out $1000. I also waited for my car and so I witnessed Moshe's interactions with other customers and business colleagues and found that he was respectful, professional and always looking out for his customers. His prices are reasonable compared to other Volvo mechanics in the area.
*Moshe will call to let you know if there were any hidden problems, let you make the decision to go ahead with any needed parts/work and will do the job right, the first time.
*My husband and I take our car to Moshe's regularly. We trust his diagnoses and feel that his rates are reasonable. He is more cautious then others to suggest repairs, which we appreciate!

*I owned several older Volvo's and was told about Moshe's by a customer of his. Moshe's ability as a mechanic is unsurpassed. He not only took top-notch care of my cars, but he helped me to become a better customer as well. I learned that it is helpful to be able to accurately describe any symptoms the car is having, but to leave the actual diagnosis to him....he IS the professional after all. (The same as you would tell a physician that you are having chest pains...you describe your symptoms but let the doctor determine whether you have a heart problem or just a case of heartburn!) Moshe will call to let you know if there were any hidden problems, let YOU make the decision to go ahead with any needed parts/work and will do the job right the FIRST time! I found his prices to be fair and for him to be a personable guy. I cannot recommend Moshe's highly enough!

*I was having a lot of difficulty with my 94 Toyota Previa Van. I took it to Moshe and he was great. He ran a computer diagnostic test on the van, figured out what was wrong and got it into shape at a very reasonable charge. It has been running with out problems since he worked on it. Moshe also helped me with another old car that could no longer be salvaged. he guided me in how to donate the car to charity.
